A lot of time has passed since my last update, so naturally there is a lot to tell.
I have been busy with two new bands that I am excited about, due to these, my new album 'Circa '86' (originally planned for a summer '14 release) was delayed, but I have all the final mixes back now, and it will be ready for a release in Feb/March.
SILVER SCREEN SIN is a new band I've started with drummer, Peter (Bombjacks, Hog Hoggidy Hog) and bassist Olly & guitarist Chris who were once one half of UK punk-rock band FLETCHER.
We got together after myself & Peter started jamming a bunch of both old and new songs I'd been working on, and after we had a few really good rehearsals & demo sessions with Chris & Olly, it was obvious that we were on to something good that we were all really enthusiastic about. Chris has also brought some really good songs to the table too and the record is under way. Expect some updates on that and some track previews soon (ish).
I've also teamed up with my good friend from across the pond Zac Damon (Zoinks!, Big In Japan, Screaching Weasel) & drummer Pierre Marche ( Sucka Punch, Screeching Weasel) & Bassist Zach Brandner (Big In Japan, Screeching Weasel) to record an album at Green Day's Jingle Town Studios in Oakland, California this month. I will be singing lead vocals on some great songs written by guitarist Zac, which will likely end up being a re-formed BIG IN JAPAN new record.
It's good to have a lot going on and some releases planned for the year! Here's to good health ;)
